Bakers' Acres Farm Oven Roasted Chicken

  • Remove thawed chicken from refrigerator 30 minutes prior to baking.
  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. 
  • Place bird in roasting pan or cast iron skillet.  Bake for approximately 20-30 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil after skin begins to brown.  
  • Continue baking until middle of the breast meat reaches 155 degrees.  Total baking time is 30-45 minutes depending on size of bird.
  • Remove from oven and cover with foil and let rest for at least 10 minutes.
  • Carve bird and enjoy! Salt and pepper meat to taste.

Bakers' Acres Farm Poultry Seasoning

Nothing beats homemade and that includes seasonings.  Try this quick homemade poultry seasoning on your next Bakers’ Acres Farm Chicken.  You can use it in gravy, in soup, in the crockpot or pressure cooker. 

  • 1 teaspoons dried sage
  • ¾ teaspoons ground dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon ground dried marjoram
  • ½ teaspoon ground dried rosemary
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼  teaspoon finely ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ salt (or salt to taste)
